This year Navratri started from 3rd October, which will end with Kanya Puja on Navami day on 11th October. Dussehra will be celebrated on 12th October. But this year Ashtami and Navami will be on the same day. According to the Panchang, this year the Ashtami Tithi of Shardiya Navratri will start from 12:31 pm on October 10, which will end the next day on October 11 at 12:06 am. Navami Tithi will start immediately after this, which will last till 10:57 am on October 12. That is, due to Udayatithi, the fast of Ashtami and Navami will be observed on 11th only.
Auspicious time for girl worship in Navratri
Kanya Puja has special significance on the days of Ashtami and Navami during Navratri. On this day, 9 girls are offered food considering them as goddesses. According to the Panchang, the puja time on October 11 will be from 6.20 am to 7.47 am. Whereas Amrit Muhurta will be from 9.14 am to 10.41 am. On this day, various types of dishes are prepared in every house for Kanya Puja, which especially includes halwa, puri, vegetables, kheer, sweets etc. During this, complete purity and integrity is taken care of.
