Jaipur : 11 RAS officers were promoted in Rajasthan on Tuesday. All these RAS officers have now become IAS officers. The promoted officers also include Devaram Saini, OSD to former CM Ashok Gehlot, and Akash Tomar, Special Assistant (SA) to Sachin Pilot. The promotion letter of these officers has been issued by the central government. The Central Personnel and Training Department has promoted them. The officers who became IAS from RAS include Shaheen Ali Khan, Akash Tomar, Arun Kumar Hasija, Manish Goyal, Matadin Meena, Kamal Ram Meena, Kesar Lal Meena, Himmat Singh Barhat, Purushottam Sharma, Devaram Saini and Ajay Aswal. All these 11 officers are RAS of 1997 batch.
Devaram Saini has been Gehlot’s OSD
Among the promoted officers, Devaram Saini has been OSD to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Shaheen Ali and Ajay Aswal have been Joint Secretaries in CMO during Gehlot’s rule. Purushottam Sharma has been DPR for two years during the Gehlot government.
Akash Tomar was the special assistant to the pilot
Akash Tomar was earlier the special assistant of Sachin Pilot when he was the deputy CM. After this, he was also the special assistant of former transport minister Brijendra Singh Ola. Akash Tomar is currently the additional divisional commissioner of Ajmer.
Sikar’s Additional Divisional Commissioner Purushottam Sharma also promoted
Apart from this, among the other promoted officers, Purushottam Sharma is currently Additional Divisional Commissioner in Sikar. Shaheen Ali Khan is currently Additional Director in HCM, RIPA Jaipur. Earlier, he had been Joint Secretary in CMO when Gehlot was the Chief Minister.
Ajay Aswal is the Additional Commissioner in the College Education Department. Aswal has been the Joint Secretary of CMO from 2022 to 2024 during the tenure of then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Arun Kunar Additional Commissioner in Excise Department
Arun Kumar Hasija is currently Additional Commissioner in the Excise Department. While Manish Goyal is currently Joint Secretary in the Education Department. Talking about Matadin Meena, Meena is currently Director in Oriental Research Institute Jodhpur. Meena was Special Assistant to Govind Singh Dotasara when he was Education Minister.
Himmat Singh Barhat is the Registrar of Mahatma Gandhi Disabled University, Jodhpur.
Kamal Ram Meena is the Joint Secretary in PWD. While Kesar Lal Meena is currently the Additional Director in the Social Justice and Empowerment Department. Himmat Singh Barhat is currently the Registrar of Mahatma Gandhi Divyang University Jodhpur. Earlier, he has also been the Secretary of Chittorgarh UIT.
