There are 85 lecturer posts, whereas under the new education policy, 300 new lecturers are required in the college.
The government makes many claims regarding education in many tribal areas. Promises are made to provide facilities, but in reality there are no lecturers in the colleges to teach the students. Talking about the largest SBP College of the district, 8 thousand students take regular admission here every year, but only 16 lecturers including the Principal are posted to teach in the college, whereas there are 81 posts of lectures in the college. There are 65 posts vacant in the college. The situation is such that there is no lecturer to teach in many subjects. In such a situation, the student’s education is completely ruined.
2 lecturers on deputation out of 16
There are 16 lecturers posted in SBP College, but out of these, 2 lecturers have been transferred on deputation, whereas there is already a glut of vacant posts. In such a situation, only 14 lecturers are working in the college. There are also Gamdi Deval, Gamdi Ahada colleges of the district under SBP College. In such a situation, due to administrative work, the duty of these lecturers is also imposed.
Not a single lecturer for 9 out of 19 subjects
There are 19 subjects in SBP College. Out of which there is not a single lecturer in 9 subjects. There is not a single lecturer in subjects like Hindi, English, Political Science, Economics, Sanskrit, Public Administration, EAFM, ABST, Geology. In such a situation, there is no study in these subjects throughout the year. Although in some subjects, studies are conducted by the college administration through contract lecturers, but due to absence of permanent lecturers, regular classes are not being conducted.
