15 councilors resigned in Rajasthan after not getting permission for wrestling competition

Bharatpur : 15 councillors of Municipal Corporation Kaman, angry over not getting permission for wrestling competition in Deeg district of Rajasthan, sent their resignation to the Department of Local Bodies (DLB Jaipur). Earlier, the councillors, under the leadership of Municipal President Geeta Khandelwal, met the Deeg Collector and Bharatpur IG and sought permission for the wrestling competition. But, the officials did not approve it.

The identity of the fair is from the wrestling match

Every year in Deeg district, after the Jawahar Exhibition Fair, the famous Bhojan Thali Parikrama Fair is organized in Kaman town from September 5. The biggest identity of this fair is the huge wrestling competition held here. Famous wrestlers from far and wide come to fight in this competition. But this year when Nagar Palika Kaman sought permission from the district administration to organize a wrestling competition, the officials flatly refused.

Nauksham Chaudhary spoke to the officials

There has been a tradition of organizing wrestling competitions in Rajasthan since the time of kings and Maharajas. But this year, due to not getting permission for the event, there is a lot of anger among the people of the area. Due to this, Kaman MLA Nauksham Chaudhary talked to the senior officials of Deeg through phone despite the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections and demanded to organize a wrestling competition. But according to the administration report, permission to organize the wrestling competition is not being given in view of communal harmony.
