16 member team of Tharu tribe of Bahraich will participate in Birsa Munda Jayanti program

Bahraich, 14 November (IANS). The 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda will be celebrated as an international participation festival on 15th November in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will participate in this historic function organized in Gomtinagar. A group of young men and women of Tharu tribe from different districts of the state will participate in this function. This also includes a 16-member team of Tharu tribe from Bahraich district.

The vehicle of people of Tharu tribe, who were going as special guests in the program, was flagged off by Bahraich District Chief Development Officer Mukesh Chandra and Additional District Officer Gaurav Ranjan. During this time, happiness was seen on the faces of the young men and women of the Tharu tribe.

Team member Sudha Kumari said that she would be happy to be a part of this function. We will showcase the culture related to our society in the program. We are feeling very excited.

A boy named Prem Kumar says that he has got the opportunity to go to such a program for the first time. So, “We feel very happy. We will do better over there.”

Bahraich District Chief Development Officer Mukesh Chandra said that November 15 is the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. A big program is being organized at the state level. 16 participants are going from our district. A program has also been organized there to benefit them from various government schemes. Any beneficiaries who have been left out due to some reason will be given the benefits of various schemes. Various schemes are being run by the government for the tribes and they are also getting benefits.
