Sirohi : On the lines of municipal bodies under Swachh Bharat Mission, now door-to-door garbage collection system will be started at every Gram Panchayat level in the state and garbage collection centers will be established. Apart from this, plastic waste management units will be set up in selected panchayats. Where products will be made by recycling plastic waste. The Panchayat will also earn by selling it. 170 gram panchayats of five blocks in Sirohi district have invited tenders for door-to-door garbage collection.
Land allotted for 32 garbage collection centers
Land has been allotted for 32 garbage collection centers in various panchayats of the district. On this, approval has been given to set up such centers in 16 panchayats in Shivganj block, 4 in Sirohi, 3 in Pindwara, 1 in Abu Road and 4 in Revdar. The remaining six are under the process of Centre’s approval.
Plastic waste management unit will be installed here
Under the mission, plastic waste management units will be established in Abu Road and Sirohi. The space for the unit has been identified in Morthala Gram Panchayat in Abu Road. With the installation of this unit, the villages will appear plastic free and more beautiful and clean. It is noteworthy that the state government has completely banned the use of single-use plastic in the state in July, 2022. For the construction of garbage collection centers, money will be available from the funds allocated in the 15th Finance Commission and MNREGA. The amount can be spent from the Tide Fund of the 15th Finance Commission for the cleaning work.
Cow dung gas plants will be installed in cowsheds
Under Swachh Bharat Mission, cow dung gas plants will be installed in cow sheds registered with the Cow Husbandry Department in the concerned district. For this, each Gaushala will get Rs 50 lakh. Leeladhari Gaushala located at Mandar in Sirohi district has been selected. Where the work of setting up a cow dung gas plant is going on. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, door-to-door garbage collection system will be started in every panchayat of Sirohi district. Garbage collection centers will be established. Under the mission, the work of cow dung gas plant is going on in the cow shed of Mandar under the Govardhan scheme. An amount of Rs 46 lakh has been sanctioned for this.
