Jaisalmer News Desk: The police machinery has shown strictness against those who cheat tourists by showing fake resorts on the booking website in Jaisalmer Sam. It is noteworthy that every year lakhs of domestic and foreign tourists come to visit the world famous Sum Sand Dunes. There are many resorts etc. built in the desert and complaints were being received that some criminal elements were trying to mislead the tourists by doing some editing on the booking website and adding fake resort properties. District Collector Jaisalmer Pratapsingh Nathawat and District Superintendent of Police Sudhir Choudhary asked Additional Superintendent of Police Jaisalmer, Kailashdan Jugtawat and Tourism Department Jaisalmer to prepare an action plan on ground basis and take immediate action against such elements. Gave instructions to register a case and take action.
Research Officer and Jaisalmer circle officer Roop Singh Inda gave a legal notice to the fake resort properties on booking websites which were violating the rules in Some Sand Dunes area of Jaisalmer district and a total of 173 such fake resort properties were registered against various departments and some camps and resorts. After establishing coordination with Welfare Society Jaisalmer, the concerned were removed.PoliceSuperintendent Sudhir Chaudhary said that any kind of information regarding fake tourist website can be made available on the e-mail ID of Circle Officer, Jaisalmer. It will be kept completely confidential. If there are any victims then send your information on the email id. On which research will be done. SP Chaudhary said that tourists will now be able to book online without any worry.
