Transfers of many plots were made by making fake documents. Some were sold by brokers. This issue was raised by Congress associate councilor Ajay Porwal. After investigation, the corporation canceled 48 leases. Meanwhile, city MLA Tarachand Jain had also raised the issue in the Assembly and called it a scam of Rs 500 crore. The matter came to SOG in April 2022. Its investigation is ongoing.
