2 big orders of High Court in SI paper leak case, posting will not be available for so many days

Jaipur : Due to extension of status quo order in High Court Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment-2021 till 10th December, posting will not be possible now. On the other hand, in the paper leak case, the High Court granted bail to 10 trainee SIs, while refused to grant the benefit of bail to 9 other accused. Both the orders of the High Court came on Friday.

Judge Ganeshram Meena had completed the hearing on the bail petitions of 19 accused in the SI recruitment paper leak case on November 8, on which he pronounced the verdict on Friday. The allegation against the 10 trainees who got relief from the court was that the paper reached their mobile phones one to one and a half hours before the written examination and they saw the answer key in advance. He also shared the paper with other candidates. Most of the accused were arrested by SOG in March.

Repaid the money by taking loan from Kisan Credit Card
Special Public Prosecutor Anurag Sharma, on behalf of SOG, told the court that the father of one of the accused took a loan of Rs 30 lakh from Kisan Credit Card and gave money to the paper leakers. A slip of account of the money given in exchange for the paper was found with the accused.
Accused said, SOG’s story is fabricated
While requesting for bail on behalf of the accused petitioners, he said that SOG’s story of getting some kind of slips is a fabrication. Why will the person taking the paper keep the payment slip after selection?
Bail rules, jail exceptions-High Court
The High Court expressed doubt on SOG’s statement regarding receipt of slips from the accused in the bail order. He said that bail is the rule and jail is the exception. Referring to this, the court granted bail to 10 accused who had received the papers before the examination. In the order related to the 9 accused whose bail was rejected, the court said that there is an allegation of taking out the paper from the strong room, taking its photo and delivering it to the candidates. Arranged for dummy candidates in the examination. Their intention may have been to earn money. In such a situation, bail cannot be granted.
Government should first answer on recruitment
On Friday, the state government sought 4 weeks’ time to respond to the petition filed for cancellation of SI Recruitment 2021 related examination, which was opposed by the petitioners’ advocate Harendra Neel. Giving two weeks time for reply, Judge Sameer Jain said that the government should state its stand on recruitment. The court continued the status quo order and postponed the hearing till December 10. Till the next hearing, examination and passing out parade will not be held under the posting process. The court also accepted the request of about 100 trainee sub-inspectors to become parties to the petition.

No pardon for Katara

Suspended RPSC member Babulal Katara requested for clemency and expressed his desire to become a government witness, which was rejected by the ADJ Court Jaipur. The court said, there is enough evidence, there is no need to make government witnesses.
