200 kg of contaminated mawa destroyed in attack on adulteration in Jalore, department launches war against adulterators

Jalore News Desk: While the administration in the state is continuously taking strict action against adulterators before Diwali, the adulterators are engaged in selling adulterated sweets to earn profits without worrying about the health of the common people. In Sanchore district, the Swift team of Food Safety and District Administration took action and seized 200 kg of adulterated Mawa and destroyed it.

As per the instructions of Sanchore District Collector Shaktisingh Rathore, a joint team of District Food Safety and District Administration inspected private business establishments in Sanchore city on Sunday in view of the festival season and under the program ‘War on Pure Food Adulteration’. District CMHO Dr. B.L. Bishnoi said that 200 kg of contaminated mawa seized during the inspection was destroyed on the spot and 8 samples of various sweets were taken for testing.

He said that the samples taken during the inspection have been sent to the lab in Jodhpur for testing. Further legal action will be taken based on the report submitted by the lab after investigation. Sanchore Subdivision Officer Pramod Kumar, DYSP Jethusingh Karnot, District Food Safety Officer Vinod Parmar, BCMO Dr. Omprakash Suthar, Mahendra Singh were present in the investigation team.
