22 new projects of tourism industry will come in Udaipur Lakecity, there will be investment of Rs 910 crore.

Udaipur : Udaipur: To employ more and more people in the tourism industry in the state, the government is signing MoUs with big hotel companies of the country and the world. Recently, MoU has been signed for 157 projects related to tourism industry. This will bring investment worth crores of rupees in the state. New employment opportunities will also be created. Talking about the tourist city Udaipur, MoU has been signed for 22 projects here. This will result in an investment of Rs 910 crore. This will provide employment to about 2 thousand people. In most of these projects, new hotels will be built in Girva and Bargaon areas. These hotels groups have received permission for these projects. It will be ready in the next one to two years. With the local people getting employment, the government’s revenue will increase.

New hotels will see changes in hospitality, food and stay

Deputy Director of Tourism Department, Shikha Saxena said that competition in the market will increase with the arrival of new projects in tourism. With this, tourists will be able to get hotels according to their budget. The number of rooms will increase. Tourists will get a new experience in every project. Here, new changes will be seen in everything like hospitality, food and stay, which will attract tourists. Along with this, people of other businesses including handicraft market will also get benefit. Let us tell you that in the past days, a survey was conducted by the police regarding hotels, resorts, home stays and guest houses according to the police station circle in the entire district. According to this, 811 tourism units exist in the district.

1.5 lakh tourists every month, difficult to get room in peak

More than 1.5 lakh tourists visit Lake City every month. During Diwali and the end of December, when tourism is at its peak, it becomes difficult to get a room here. This problem will no longer exist after the number of rooms increases in the new project. The second biggest beneficiary will be the wedding industry. Around 500 destination weddings take place every year. Due to hotels being full during weddings, many wedding events are shifted to Nathdwara, Kumbhalgarh. By holding these weddings in the city, local people will get employment.
