Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav also posted this video ‘X’ and accused the administration of intimidating and threatening the voters by showing them pistols and stopping them from voting. At the same time, local women allege that the police did not allow the voters to reach the polling booth, which led to the dispute. After this, stones were pelted at the police.
Ravi Shankar Mishra told that the election process was being conducted as per the guidelines of the Election Commission, when during the by-election on Meerapur assembly seat, information was received about a fight between two groups at Kakrauli bus stand over getting votes in their favor. . Police forces arrived in large numbers and tried to pacify the crowd, but people tried to pelt stones and block the road. The police dispersed the crowd using mild force and the law and order situation was not allowed to deteriorate.
He said that in this case, a case has been registered against 28 named and 100 to 120 unknown persons under relevant provisions of the Indian Judicial Code under sections 109, 115, 121, 125, 131, 132, 190, 191, 223, 351 and 352.
