Sawai Madhopur : A case of death of a 3-year-old girl playing outside the house due to drowning in a drain came to light in Sripur village of Malarna Dungar police station area on Thursday. After receiving information about the incident, Malarna Chaud police post in-charge Awadhesh Singh reached the spot and took the body of three-year-old deceased Lakshmi, daughter of Hanuman Purviya, into custody. During this time, the family members submitted a report to the police for not taking any legal action on the death of the girl. The police handed over the deceased girl to her family without conducting post-mortem.
Malarna Chaud outpost in-charge Awadhesh Singh said that information was received that a three-year-old girl died due to drowning in water in Sripur village. Reached the spot where the water level in the drain passing outside the house had increased due to water coming into the village’s minor canal for irrigation of crops, due to which the girl slipped and fell into the drain, resulting in her death on the spot. The deceased’s uncle Ram Singh Panwar told that the 3 year old girl’s father Hanuman Purviya works as a laborer in Jaipur. The father was informed about the girl’s death, but the family does not want any kind of legal action on the girl’s death.
