Udaipur : Udaipur Railway track is about to start again in the campus of Regional Railway Training Institute spread over 150 acres at Sukhadia Circle. A 300 meter long demonstration track yard is being built here for the training of railway workers. With this, railway workers will be able to get all the information related to track and train. 90% of its work has been completed. Training will be started from January. The track is being designed in such a way that it can bear heavy axle load i.e. up to 25 tonnes. This is a broad gauge yard. There will also be electrification on this. Railway workers from all over the country come here for training. Principal Jai Prakash said that in view of the changes taking place in the Railways, a new demo track is being built. With this, we will be able to provide live training to railway workers on the basis of new technologies. We will also teach you how to fix failures that occur at stations or tracks. The institute also has a meter gauge track based on old technology which is now out of use.
The track has been prepared for a speed of 130 km per hour
Level crossings have been built on the demo track. How these operate will be taught live. Signal posts have also been installed for vehicles coming from the road. Red-yellow lights have been installed on it. Thick wave switches have also been installed in the yard to take the train from mainline to loopline. The track has been designed for a speed of 130 km per hour. This will help in training of trackmen, engineering and railway employees of signaling department. It will also be connected to the signaling room. The room will have automatic signaling system, 6 color light stations, UFSBI block instruments.
