Noida, 30 November (IANS). In Uttar Pradesh, Noida Police has busted a fake call center and arrested 32 people including 17 women. His five associates are still absconding, their search is on.

He had set up a fake company in the name of Country Holiday Travel India and through his two different call centres, he used to cheat lakhs of rupees in the name of providing holiday packages to people mostly from other states. Till now they have made hundreds of people their victims and have committed fraud worth crores of rupees.

DCP Central Noida Shakti Mohan Awasthi said on Saturday that Police Station Sector-63, while exposing this gang, raided the call center of a company named Country Holiday Travel India and recovered many CPUs, computers and phones.

He told that the accused used to extract people’s data from the dark web and call them from their call center and offer attractive packages. He told that he used to cheat people by talking about his association with a famous hotel. He also used to ask for cash payment and online payment from people by visiting their homes.

DCP said that when people reached the destination and hotel booked by them, it was found that no booking had been made there in their name. After that, on continuous calls, he used to negotiate with the customer. Whenever a call came to their second customer support call centre, they would repeatedly block the number of the caller.

The police officer said that they used to cheat people who were not from Noida and its surroundings. So that no one can complain against them. Nevertheless, five offline complaints and many online complaints were received against him in Noida police station.

Police said that three main accused have been arrested. These include the AGM and training head of the fake company. The DCP said that they used to take between Rs 1 to 1.5 lakh per package from each person. Mostly they used to make the people of South India their prey and used to give people travel plans of South India only.
