Jaipur News Desk: The air has remained bad in NCR areas including the country’s capital Delhi since Diwali. Its effect is now visible in Rajasthan also. According to the AQI report that came on Tuesday morning, 4 districts of Rajasthan are included in the list of 10 most polluted cities of the country. The AQI here has reached ‘dangerous’ level, due to which people may have breathing problems if exposed to it for a long time.
Hanumangarh district is in top 2
Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Sriganganagar and Dholpur are those districts of Rajasthan where AQI level is above 300 today. According to the report, Delhi is the most polluted city in India with AQI level of 384. Hanumangarh district is the second most polluted city in India with AQI level of 369. Jhunjhunu is the third most polluted city in India with an AQI level of 359. With an AQI level of 351, Sriganganagar is the fourth most polluted city in India. Hajipur is the fifth most polluted city in India with an AQI level of 328.
The air is the cleanest in Gangtok
Similarly, with 327 AQI level, Dholpur district is at sixth place in the list of most polluted cities of India. Bhiwani is at number seven, Ghaziabad at number eight, Gurugram at number nine and Vrindavan at number 10. Churu is at number 11, Bhiwadi city is at number 12. The air of Gangtok city of Sikkim is the cleanest today. The AQI level there is at 19.
More impact on children and elderly
Since Diwali, the situation of air pollution in NCR and its surrounding areas including Delhi has remained worrying. Due to pollution, citizens are facing difficulty even in going for a morning walk. Among the citizens who are forced to breathe in pollution, the biggest impact is being seen on children and old people. If we talk about AQI in Delhi a day earlier, the average AQI was recorded at 373 on Monday.
