Tonk : Four children living in Raghunathpur village in Tonk district died on Wednesday afternoon after drowning in a pond. All these children had gone to give water to buffaloes. Two of the deceased children are real brothers. There was chaos in the village after the death of the children. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. On the other hand, on the demand of the villagers, MP Harish Meena talked to the SDM and got the administration to announce a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of the deceased.
All the children had gone to graze buffaloes
According to the information, four children of Raghunathpur village had gone to graze buffaloes in the pond. While taking the buffaloes out of the water, one child fell into a deep pit and seeing him drowning, the other one jumped into the water and then in an attempt to save each other, all the four children lost their lives. The news of four children of Raghunathpur village drowning in the pond of Mohammadgarh created an uproar in the village.
Two brothers among the dead
Two brothers were among the dead. Vikas and Vijay, who died due to drowning in a pond in Mohammadgarh, were real brothers. Hansraj and Dilkhush were also real brothers. The villagers demanded compensation for the families of the deceased before the postmortem proceedings. During this, on receiving the information, MP Harish Meena also reached Uniara hospital and after talking to SDM Uniara, got the administration to announce government assistance of five lakh rupees each for the families of the deceased. After that, all the bodies were handed over to the families after postmortem.
