4 teams of Udaipur Kalika Patrolling Unit formed, 12 women constables in each team

Udaipur : Udaipur: Complete preparations have now been made for the formation of Kalika Patrolling Unit, which was announced in the last budget. This unit will work to prevent other crimes including molestation of women and girls. 216 such teams will be formed across the state. In Udaipur on Wednesday, SP issued orders to form four teams. Maximum 37 teams will be formed in Jaipur and least 2 teams each in Dholpur, Sirohi, Jalore, Jaisalmer and Barmer. The government has sanctioned 864 new posts of women constables for these teams. There will be 48 constables in the 4 teams formed in Udaipur, that is, 12 women constables will be on duty in each team. The patrolling team will be deployed at public as well as sensitive places like schools, colleges, markets, religious places, malls, parks, tourist places. Here work will be done to stop molestation, snatching, chain snatching and other crimes against girls and women.

Will ride on scooter instead of bike, uniform will be blue

The team in Udaipur will be commanded by ASP of Special Investigation Unit Crime Against Women. The team will travel on scooters instead of bikes. Two women constables will accompany each scooter. Their uniform will be blue, and the scooter and helmet will be black. The monogram of Kalika Unit will be printed on the back of the uniform, scooter and helmet. Let us tell you that Deputy CM Diya Kumari had announced the formation of 500 Kalika Patrolling Units in the last budget. Now the order for formation of 216 has been given.

Maximum 37 teams are in Jaipur, 216 will be formed across the state.

Lady patrolling team is also present, it is present only in a few cities including Udaipur.

Even before Kalika Unit, Lady Patrolling Team was formed to prevent crimes against women and girls. In the year 2016, this team was first formed in the state in Udaipur. After this, it was also made at Jaipur, Kota division, Jhunjhunu and Alwar district headquarters. This is only in these cities. In such a situation, it was announced to form Kalika Patrolling Unit. There are 20 women policemen in the Lady Patrolling Team of Udaipur. It takes action against miscreants who tease women and girls, make comments and do objectionable acts in front of schools and colleges. This team has been given a bike. Their uniform is also blue like that of Kalika Patrolling Team.
