4 teams will participate in Jodhpur Polo tournament which will run till 7th December.

Jodhpur : The main tournaments in the 25th season of Jodhpur Polo will start from tomorrow. The first tournament will be Umaid Bhawan Palace Cup which will run till December 7 and a total of four teams will play in it. Under the aegis of Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Institute, Jodhpur, Maharaja Gaj Singh Sports Foundation Polo Ground, Lt. General AVM H.H. The 25th season of Jodhpur Polo is being played at Maharaja Umed Singh Airport Road, Pabupura. Umaid Bhawan Palace Cup (4 goals) tournament will be played from Wednesday 4th December. A total of four teams will participate in this tournament which will run from 4th to 7th December. Today, Tuesday 3rd December, Polo Off Day has been kept under which no match will be played.

Umaid Bhawan Palace Cup tournament will also be played on the lines of Out of the Hat tournament.

Inderjit Singh Nathawat, Honorary Secretary of Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Institute, Jodhpur, said that Tuesday 3rd December will be a holiday and Umaid Bhawan Palace Cup tournament will start from Wednesday 4th December. A total of four teams are participating in this tournament. Mayo College and Mehrangarh teams are participating in Pool ‘A’ and Umaid Bhawan Palace and Balsamand teams are participating in Pool ‘B’.

Laxman Vaidya, Yogeshwar Singh, Dhananjay Singh and foreign player Lance Watson

Devratt Singh Ranaut, Mayurdhwaj Singh, Ranshay Purohit and Jaiveer Singh Gohil

Match of the first day of the tournament on Wednesday
The first match of the tournament will be played between Mayo College and Mehrangarh at 3 pm in Pool ‘A’ on Wednesday, 4th December, the first day of the tournament. The umpires of this match will be Lance Watson and Jaiveer Singh Gohil, referee Yogeshwar Singh Bhanwari and commentary will be done by Ankur Mishra.
