Jaipur : The fate of the candidates on 7 seats of Rajasthan by-election has been decided on 13th November. In Khinvsar, Chaurasi, Dausa, Deoli-Uniara, Salumber, Ramgarh and Jhunjhunu, the results of who the voters have chosen as the next MLA will come on November 23. With a triangular contest on Chaurasi and Salumber, this fight was challenging for both BJP and Congress. Because Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) tried its best to save its bastion Chaurasi, the party’s influence was visible in Salumbar also. To stop this effect, about 4 years ago, both the main parties took such a step, which is shocking not only in Rajasthan but also in the politics of the country. In Dungarpur district, BJP and Congress had formed an alliance in the year 2020 to defeat BTP. The result was that the Bharatiya Tribal Party lost the district chief election by 1 vote. However, within a few years, BTP members formed a new party ‘BAP’.
BJP had given support to the independent candidate
Actually, district chief elections were held in the year 2020. Then in this district chief election out of 27 seats, Bharatiya Tribal Party won maximum 13 seats. Whereas only 8 members of BJP and 6 members of Congress won. However, no one got majority. In such a situation, the possibility of manipulative politics had also increased. All 6 members of the Congress supported the BJP supported candidate Surya Ahari, due to which the Bharatiya Tribal Party candidate lost by 1 vote in this election.
Local people fear the ideology of BAP-BTP – BJP leader
Dr. Jinendra Shastri, who was the organization in-charge of BJP in Dungarpur district, said, “When the then state president Dr. Satish Poonia gave me the responsibility of Dungarpur. During this, after the results came in the Zilla Parishad, we held a meeting at night and decided on the alliance.” The members of the BJP leadership and ideology believe that whether it is Bharatiya Tribal Party or Bharatiya Adivasi Party, its ideology is not right for this region.
The BJP leader said that due to the politics of Bharat Adivasi Party, there is a lot of fear among the local residents along with the general class. In such a situation, we decided that our priority would be to keep BAP out of the Zilla Parishad. We formed an alliance with Congress for the development and stability of the region.
