New Delhi, December 27 (IANS). Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are continuously accusing each other regarding Delhi Assembly elections. Aam Aadmi Party claims that BJP is giving money to Congress candidates to contest elections. At the same time, senior Congress leader and New Delhi Assembly candidate Sandeep Dixit has termed the alliance with AAP in the Lok Sabha elections as the “biggest mistake” of the Congress.
Responding to a question, he said that the “40-day alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party was the biggest mistake”. He said, “I used to say it then and I say it even now. Then it was the party’s decision, the party does this due to some big reasons.”
He questioned the Aam Aadmi Party, “Tell me how much the BJP is spending on my elections. I will hold a press conference on December 27 and ask the Aam Aadmi Party a series of questions on their allegations. Kejriwal has only made allegations in the last 10 years.”
On meeting the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, he said that when ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana’ was started, we were skeptical. The issue is not which party is promising what because during elections the party makes promises. Congress governments have also offered similar amounts, and we will ask the people of Delhi to announce similar benefits if we come to power. The issue is not about promises but about how the Chief Minister and others started saying that they are increasing the amount under Mahila Samman Yojana because advertisements are issued from her own government that the Chief Minister is lying . There is no such scheme, there is no such provision. The department warned people that if they fill the form, fraud may occur. I have demanded from LG that this entire matter should be investigated.
Sandeep Dixit said that he has also demanded from LG that whatever vehicle enters Delhi from Punjab, it should be checked by Delhi Police.
