Jaipur : A case of simultaneous imposition of fine on about 40 thousand private schools running in Rajasthan has come to light. The State Commissioner has ordered the School Education Department to impose a fine of Rs 25,000 against each school. This entire amount of fine will be deposited in the Chief Minister’s Fund.
Private schools of Rajasthan are not disabled friendly
Regarding this entire matter, State Commissioner Umashankar Sharma said that more than 40 thousand private schools are running in the state. There is a fear that most of these schools are not disabled friendly. In this regard, the Education Department has been instructed to conduct audit and impose fine against the guilty school officials.
Know the mistake of schools and universities
The Higher Education Department also recently took action against 3 universities following court directions for not complying with disability-friendly infrastructure requirements and not introducing 5% reserved quota for PWD students despite benefiting from government schemes. Notice was issued.
Now the turn of private university
State Commissioner Umashankar Sharma says that our investigation also revealed that many universities have taken government help like subsidy to buy land but they did not implement the mandatory quota of five percent for PWD students. For now, investigation will continue. Such investigation will be conducted in other private universities and schools in the state also.
Schools charge huge fees in the name of facilities
Let us tell you that generally we see that huge amount of money is charged in the name of facilities in schools. But the reality is that schools do not even provide basic facilities like wheelchairs and ramps for disabled children. If a disabled person comes to study, he has to face a lot of difficulties.
