45 university teams from West Zone will participate in Kota competition.

Kota : Kota Kota city is now becoming a hub of sports. One after another players are making name for themselves across the country and big tournaments are also being held here. In this sequence, Interuniversity West Zone Women Football Tournament will be organized by Vardhman Mahavir Open University from 7 to 11 December. More than 1000 women players from 45 universities of West Zone will participate in it. Matches will be held in Srinathpuram, Nayapur Stadium and Kunhadi Vijayveer Club. University VC Prof. Kailash Sodani told that this competition is being held for the second time in Kota. But Open University is organizing a sports competition for the first time. University teams will also participate in this for the first time. 45 teams from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat Universities will participate in the West Zone.

There will be more than 22 players in a team. The competition will feature 4 teams that qualified last year. Four groups of remaining 45 teams have been formed. All matches will be knockout. Four teams will remain on top in the knockout. They will face 4 qualifying teams. After that there will be league matches of four teams. In this, four places will be given to the top four teams. These four teams will participate in the Inter University All India Football Tournament to be held in Phagwara, Punjab in January. Teams of Kota University, Open University and RTU will play from Hadoti. Ground Manager Tirath Sanga said that the grounds at all three places are being prepared. Accommodation and other arrangements are being made for the teams.
