Alwar : 49 new Anganwadi centers will be opened in Alwar, Khairthal-Tijara and Kotputli-Behror. With their opening, the number of Anganwadi centers in the district will increase. At present, more than 3400 centers are being operated at these places. The government is spending about Rs 6.13 crore every year on these centres. The state government had announced the opening of new Anganwadi centers in the budget. In this regard, the Government Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department has issued orders. According to the department, these centers will be operated in government buildings and government schools from December 14. If government buildings are not available, they will be opened in rented buildings. At present, the new Anganwadi centers will be operated by giving additional responsibilities to the old workers and assistants. After this, recruitment will be done on new posts. So that they can be operated properly. These Anganwadi centers have been opened considering the population of the year 2011 as the basis.
Still not getting full facilities: Anganwadi centers running in the district are suffering from lack of resources. Children in these centers are facing problems due to lack of electricity, water and toilet as well as building. Anganwadi workers do not get salaries on time. Most of the Anganwadi centers are suffering from shortage of staff.

There was a demand to open new Anganwadi centers in Alwar. Children between 0 to 6 years had to go to distant centres. In such a situation, there was a need for new centres. Children coming to Anganwadi centers are given benefits of pre-school primary education, nutrition and vaccination and other schemes. Sanitary napkins are provided to adolescent girls and vaccination of pregnant women etc.
