5 accused sentenced for deadly attack in Dausa land dispute

Dausa : Sikrai ADJ Court has sentenced 5 culprits including a woman in a 4 year old case of assault and fatal attack over a land dispute. The incident took place on 6 May 2020 in Dungar Sikrai village of Manpur police station area. In this regard, on May 7, 2020, Amar Singh Rajput had registered a case in the police station that on the afternoon of May 6, Padam Singh was leveling the soil in his field and getting a ridge installed in his field. Which his brother Mahendra Singh stopped him from doing.

Where half a dozen people of the same family, including Padam Singh, Vikram Singh, Uttam Singh, who were already sitting, suddenly attacked with sticks and sharp weapons. Hearing the screams, when other members of the family came to intervene, they were also attacked and the wheel of the car was run over them with the intention of killing them. In which half a dozen people of his family were seriously injured. On this, the police registered a case under various sections and started investigation and presented the charge sheet in the court.

During the hearing in the court, Additional Public Prosecutor Tarachand Gurjar and complainant’s advocate Uday Singh Gurjar presented 19 witnesses and 67 documents on behalf of the prosecution. On the basis of which the court convicted the accused Uttam Singh, Vikram Singh, Uday Singh, Padam Singh and Shrikanwar under various sections. Whereas giving benefit of doubt under section 447 of the Indian Penal Code, orders for acquittal were given. While giving the verdict in the case, ADJ Pradeep Kumar sentenced the accused Uttam Singh to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. Other convicts Vikram Singh, Uday Singh, Padam Singh and Shrikanwar, residents of Dungar Sikrai, were sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20 thousand.
