Jaipur : Haryana’s serial killer Rahul Jat alias Bhola, who killed five people in 25 days, is now in police custody. But the police had to face a lot of difficulty in catching it. To catch Rahul, 10 police teams from 4 states checked the footage of about 5000 CCTV cameras. After which the e-Prison app which keeps online records of jail prisoners was searched. After this this serial killer was identified. Then Rahul Karamveer Jat, a resident of Rohtak, Haryana, was arrested on November 24 from Vapi railway station in Valsad, Gujarat.
During interrogation, murder of 5 people came to light
After Rahul’s arrest, the investigating officers were shocked to hear what he told the police. After interrogating the accused, police officials said that in less than a month, the accused has murdered 5 people in different states, most of which were committed in trains.
Jodhpur jail played a big role in Rahul’s arrest
Jodhpur jail administration played a big role in Rahul’s arrest. It was told that before committing all these crimes, Rahul was transferred from Barmer jail to Jodhpur jail. He was released from here on bail in May. From then till now this young man has committed five incidents of murder and rape in five states of the country.
19 year old student was raped and murdered in Valsad
When the police was searching for the culprit accused of rape and murder of a 19-year-old student in Valsad, Gujarat, Jodhpur jail played an important role in arresting him. Valsad SP came to know that the suspected accused whom they were searching had connections with Jodhpur jail.
Rahul alias Bholu was identified after checking the jail records.
The SP contacted the Jodhpur Jail Superintendent and sent a CCTV footage of the suspect. When the superintendent searched the jail records, it came to light that it was Rahul Jat alias Bholu from Haryana, who had been released from jail a few months ago. As soon as Bholu’s horoscope was received from Jodhpur jail, Valsad police arrested the accused.
The student was raped and murdered on November 14 in Vaslad.
The story begins in Valsad, Gujarat, on 14 November. A 19-year-old B.Com second year student living in Motiwala area of Pardi taluka was returning home from tuition. Meanwhile, while passing through a deserted area, a young man dragged her into the bushes, where he raped and strangulated her to death. The accused returned to the place of incident after 2 hours. Here he also raped the student’s body twice. Meanwhile, hearing the sound of some people coming, he hastily ran away leaving his T-shirt and bag behind.
2 thousand CCTV footage checked
Valsad police was busy investigating this murder and rape case. CCTV footage near the railway track was checked and a person wearing the same T-shirt and carrying the same bag was seen in the parking camera. After this, the footage of the accused was sent to the police of all the railway stations of Gujarat. During this period, more than two thousand CCTV footages were scrutinized. During the investigation, the police got information that the accused was lodged in Jodhpur Central Jail in a theft incident.
Was thrown out of the house by family members due to theft
He was released on bail in May itself. Investigation revealed that the accused is originally a resident of Rohtak, Haryana. A police team also went to Rohtak, but it was found that the accused had not gone to Haryana for many years because his family members had thrown him out of the house many years ago due to theft incidents.
Horoscope from e-imprisonment software
Meanwhile, Valsad SP sent footage about him to Jodhpur Jail Superintendent and sought information. The horoscope of the accused was calculated with the help of e-prison software. It was revealed that Rahul Jat was caught in Gadra Road, Barmer last February. The allegation was that he had committed theft in the train. He was arrested and sent to Barmer jail. Due to excess of prisoners there, he was shifted to Jodhpur Central Jail. Since he got bail in the theft case, he was released from Jodhpur jail in May.
Left Jodhpur, committed five crimes
According to Valsad Police, accused Rahul has confessed that a day before the incident in Valsad, he had also killed a woman during a robbery in Secunderabad, Telangana. Earlier in October, he had raped and murdered a woman in a train near Solapur railway station in Maharashtra. In October, he stabbed an elderly man to death near Howrah station in West Bengal after robbing him.
13 cases of theft registered against serial killer Rahul
In October itself, he had stabbed a passenger to death at Mulki station in Karnataka over the trivial matter of not giving him beedis. The accused commits crimes of theft and robbery. There are 13 cases of theft registered against him in different states. He used to steal valuables from passengers traveling in trains especially at night. He has also been jailed in Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand for stealing oil from trucks and illegal weapons.
Photo and horoscope of serial killer found in e-prison software
Valsad SP had asked me for the photo and details of Rahul alias Bholu. The police were having a lot of trouble in identifying this serial killer. Then when I looked at the jail’s e-prison software, I found out that he was brought from Barmer jail to Jodhpur jail on February 18 in connection with the robbery. Released on bail on May 8 on court orders. Earlier he was involved in crimes like theft and robbery, after coming out of Jodhpur jail, Bholu became a serial killer. Gujarat Police sent videos to verify him, we sent his photo, information present in the records and other information including names, numbers of his family members. With its help, Gujarat Police was successful in catching such a serial killer.
