5 years relaxation given to OBC in police service ends, politics heats up

Jaipur : Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan has taken a big decision. The state government has abolished the 5-year relaxation given to OBC category in Rajasthan Police Service (RPS). In this regard, the Personnel Department issued a notification late in the evening. But, now politics has heated up on this issue. Congress MLA Harish Chaudhary has talked about fighting for the rights of OBC from the road to the House. The Personnel Department issued orders late Friday night regarding Rajasthan Police Service (Amendment) Rules 2024. It is written in the order of Joint Secretary Dinesh Kumar Sharma that the order of 5 years relaxation in the maximum age limit to the OBC category in the police service has been canceled from April 16, 2021.

Congress warned Bhajan Lal government

After this decision of Bhajan Lal government, Congress has launched a scathing attack. Congress MLA Harish Chaudhary uploaded a copy of the order on social site X and wrote that by ending the rule of five years relaxation in age for OBC category in Rajasthan Police Service, the government has once again shown its monarchical thinking. Should we remain silent even now? The Congress MLA warned that we will fight unitedly from the road to the House against every injustice of the government. At the same time, Manoj Meena, state president of Rajasthan Yuva Shakti Integrated Federation, has called the government’s order a blow to the students of OBC category. He has demanded CM Bhajan Lal Sharma to cancel this order in the interest of the students.
