In the presence of District Magistrate Ashish Singh, a meeting was called on Saturday regarding the security arrangements of the city. Along with the resident association, business representatives were also present in it. There was discussion about improving the traffic system and increasing crimes in the city. It was also decided that cameras would be installed in the city with public participation.
Ashish Singh said that a target has been set to install 50 thousand CCTV cameras in the city with public participation. Through the meeting, many important decisions have been taken to improve the security and traffic system of the city, which will be implemented soon.
In the meeting, the District Magistrate told that special initiatives are being taken to improve law and order in the city and for monitoring and security through surveillance of CCTV cameras. For this, CCTV surveillance is to be activated for continuous monitoring of residential association premises of more than 1,500 square feet, industrial unit complex areas, places where there is movement of more than 50 people.
All resident associations, industrial units, market operators associations and hospital operators should install CCTV cameras in the premises of their institutions. He said that just as Indore is number one in cleanliness, similarly Indore has to be made number one at the level of security also.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shivam Verma, Smart City CEO Divyank Singh, Additional Collector Jyoti Sharma, Additional Commissioner Abhay Rajangaonkar, apart from SDM, Municipal Corporation officials, residents’ association, representatives of various business organizations, industrial units, market associations and hospital managers were present in the meeting. The District Magistrate also gave necessary instructions regarding organizing a meeting of the police station in-charges of the concerned area with all the hospital managers. He reviewed the status of security arrangements in hospitals and gave necessary instructions. Collector Singh, while discussing with the representatives of industrial unit organizations of Palda and Polo Ground industrial areas, listened to their problems and gave necessary instructions regarding their resolution.
