Dholpur : Rajasthan’s fifth Dholpur-Karauli Tiger Reserve is expected to open soon. The district administration has identified the buffer zone for the Tiger Reserve and sent it to the Forest and Environment Department of the Central Government for approval. 108 villages of Dholpur-Karauli districts have been included in the buffer zone of the Tiger Reserve.
Maximum villages include 60 in Dholpur and 48 in Karauli. This park will be spread over 757.01 square meters. In this, the area of buffer zone will be 457 square kilometers. The remaining 599 square kilometers will be core area. The movement of the tiger may continue till here. This park will be the second park near Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Bharatpur division, where tourists will be able to visit the forest with tigers.
Panther, fox, deer will also be seen
Along with tigers, other wildlife will also be seen in the Tiger Reserve. According to the census of wildlife in Sarmathura range, more than 40 panthers, around 250 jackals, around 25 jackals, 10 to 15 foxes, 15 to 20 wolves, 25 to 30 bears, around 25 sambar and so many badgers are present. Are. Around 400 Nilgai and more than 500 wild boars also roam in the sanctuary. Movement of 5 tigers in Dholpur border
At present there is movement of 5 tigers in the border of Dholpur. There are two adults and 3 cubs in it. The names of adult tigers are T-116 and T-117. At the same time, T-2303 female tiger is also roaming in the area of Dholpur and Karauli. It has been seen from Mandrayal of Karauli to Damoh forest of Dholpur. Haven’t made a permanent home yet.
Tourism will gain wings in the area
The tiger reserve is likely to open to tourists by early next year. With the Tiger Reserve, Dholpur will emerge on the tourism map. Till now the tourists who come to Dholpur come for Chambal Safari, but it is not much developed. With the opening of the Tiger Reserve, tourists from NCR region will be able to reach here. Buffer zone area has been marked for Dholpur Karauli Tiger Reserve. This includes 108 villages of both the districts. A proposal has been made and sent to the department for approval of the buffer zone. After approval of the buffer zone, work will start in the reserve park. The buffer zone proposal of Dholpur Karauli Tiger Reserve Park is likely to be approved soon. Only after this, efforts will be made to open the park for tourists.
