6 new drinking water projects were announced in Rajasthan Budget 2024

Jaipur : Rajasthan’s Finance Minister Diya Kumari is presenting the first full budget of Bhajan Lal government in the assembly today. Finance Minister Diya Kumari started her speech by saying that as soon as our government took charge, it started bringing the promises made in the Sankalp Patra to the ground. Bhajan Lal government has started work on 45 percent of the announcements of the Sankalp Patra and more than 53 percent of the budget announcements in a short period. In the budget speech, the Finance Minister announced 6 big schemes for drinking water. 6 projects worth more than 20 thousand crores will be started to provide drinking water to 5846 villages of the state. This year, tap water will be supplied to 25 lakh rural homes by spending 15 thousand crores. Apart from this, under the Amrit 2.0 scheme in urban areas along with rural areas, works will be done in 183 cities of the state with 5 thousand 180 crores.

5 thousand crore scheme for drinking water

Finance Minister Diya Kumari said that Jal Jeevan Mission Yojana can prove to be a boon for us. The work of the first phase of ERCP has started. An action plan has been prepared for developed Rajasthan. There is a plan of 5 thousand crores for drinking water scheme. For drinking water, 20-20 hand pumps will be installed in every assembly constituency and 10-10 tube wells will be constructed in the coming two years. 32 water bodies will be renovated. For the importance of water, it is necessary that not even a single drop of water is wasted.
