Sikar : ADJ Court No. 3 of Sikar has sentenced 6 accused to life imprisonment in a 12 year old assault and murder case. The court has also imposed fine on all the accused. There were seven accused at the time of the incident, one of whom has died.
Additional Public Prosecutor Anil Kumar Sharma and complainant’s advocate Satyanarayan Sharma said – On May 10, 2012, complainant Gorulal resident of Ranoli (Sikar) had given a report in Ranoli police station. In the report he had told that he was at his home on May 10 at 11 am. His house is built in the field itself. The accused Narsi, Rajpal, Omprakash, Khetaram, Shivpal, Jitendra, Sunil, Manisha, Jyoti, Kamlesh and Saroj came with sticks.
All the accused surrounded Gorulal’s son Rajendra from all sides near the Kikar tree in the field. When Rajendra raised an alarm, Gopal, Nemichand and Birbal came there. The accused beat Birbal, Rajendra and Nemichand with sticks. In the incident, the complainant’s son Rajendra suffered serious head injuries. Gopal and Nemichand were also injured. The accused had fought due to a land dispute. After the incident, the family took Rajendra, Gopal and Nemichand to Ranoli Hospital. From there he was referred to Sikar. Rajendra died during treatment in the hospital. After which the police registered the case and started investigation. The police arrested the accused and presented the challan in the court. This case went on in the court for about 12 years. During this, 21 witnesses, 32 documentary evidence and 7 articles were presented in the court by the prosecution. In this, a cloth bag, iron pipe, blood stained vest and shirt of the deceased were presented as evidence.
