Banswara : 691 cases of e-Ravanna have been registered in the district in the last 32 months. After this, the Transport Department has now taken steps to take action in these cases. Nearly Rs 3 crore fine is being imposed on 170 truck owners. According to the budget announcement of the department for the year 2024, about 96 percent relaxation has been given in the compounding amount in the cases of e-movement of trucks of Mining Department. This discount will be applicable to e-waybill challans generated till June 30, 2024. To provide relief to truck owners, the last date given is 31 December 2024.
40 private vehicles will be auctioned in January
The revenue target for December 2024 is allocated at Rs 7 crore 25 lakh. In the first week, a revenue of about Rs 2 crore was obtained and about 2.5 crore revenue was also obtained by seizing about 300 vehicles registered in other states. Private category vehicles have been seized for a long time to deposit one-time tax and the vehicle owner has not deposited the vehicle tax of the department. The auction process of those vehicles has been started. About 40 private category vehicles will be auctioned in January.

At the same time, action is going on regarding old outstanding challans and auction process of vehicles. The department has achieved the target revenue of Rs 2 crore in the first week.
