7 mobiles, 8 SIM cards found in 5 searches in Churu and Rajgarh jail

Mobile phones and other prohibited items are easily available to the prisoners in Churu : District Jail and Rajgarh Sub Jail. The situation in Rajgarh Sub Jail is more serious. The role of the jail administration is also being considered suspicious due to the incident of mobile phones being found with the prisoners. During searches thrice in Rajgarh and twice in Churu jail, 7 mobiles, 3 SIMs, 3 batteries, 2 chargers, 1 dongle and 1 data cable were found with the prisoners. The main reason for this is that strict action is not taken after mobile phones etc. are found. According to the information, some prisoners in Rajgarh jail are still connected with their loved ones through mobile phones. It is not possible for this to happen without the connivance or negligence of the jail staff. When the police and administration team raided Rajgarh jail on October 15, mobile phones, dongles and chargers were found with two prisoners lodged in a murder case. This raid was conducted on the basis of input received by the Assistant Superintendent of Police of Rajgarh about prisoners talking on mobile phones. After registering the case, the police had mentioned in the report sent to the SP that the negligence and role of the jail administration was suspicious. This report has also been sent to higher officials of the jail administration.

Similarly, during checking in the District Jail also, mobile phones and SIMs etc. have been found with the prisoners. On August 9, under the leadership of SP Jai Yadav and SDM Bijendra, during a search operation, two mobile phones, three SIM cards and a charger were recovered from four prisoners. After getting mobile and SIM from District Jail and Rajgarh Sub Jail, there is a possibility of prisoners running the network from the jail. Rajgarh Sub Jail was checked three times in the last 11 months and all three times mobile phones were found with the prisoners. Rajgarh SHO Pushpendra Jhajhariya said that during the inspection on October 15, mobile phones, dongles and chargers etc. were found with two prisoners under trial in the murder case. An Android and keypad mobile, a dongle and a charger were found in barrack number 4 from prisoners Vinod alias Dhyala Gurjar resident Bahal and Ankit Jat resident Kanau, Gogamedi. On the report of the SHO, a case was registered against both the prisoners in the police station. Both Vinod and Ankit are in judicial custody in the murder case. On April 18, when barrack number three was searched, a mobile phone hidden in mercury light was seized. A case was also registered against 6 prisoners in the police station after the undertrials protested against the search. On March 12, a mobile phone, three batteries and a data cable were found in the barrack lighting donation done by the jail guards in the barrack of Sub Jail.

Mobiles were found in the search conducted on the information of running a network from the jail: On the information of running a network from the jail, a team of 100 soldiers led by SP Jai Yadav and including SDM Bijendra Singh had conducted a search operation for two and a half hours on August 9. Two mobile phones, three SIMs and a charger were recovered from the four prisoners. Gangster Kapil Pandit’s brother Anil Pandit was also among the four prisoners. Two cases were registered by the police in the police station. A mobile phone was also found with Anil Pandit on July 7, regarding which the District Jail Administration had registered a case in the police station. According to city Kotwal Mukut Bihari, during the operation, in barrack number one, prisoner Naveen Donga resident of Haryana had a mobile, Adil resident of Churu had a mobile and two SIMs, Kishan resident of Satra had a mobile charger and prisoner Anil Pandit had a mobile phone. SIM was found. A case was registered against all four in the police station. Similarly, a case was registered against Ram Swaroop for giving mobile and SIM to other prisoners. Prisoners find every way to prevent it: Prisoners in jail also find every way to hide such items during searches. During a search in the District Jail on August 9, a SIM was found in a small pocket made on the back side near the zip of a prisoner’s pants. Similarly, a mobile phone was found buried and hidden in a pit. During the raid in Rajgarh jail on October 15, after seeing the police and administration team, he put the SIM in his mouth and swallowed it. Preliminary investigation of the District Jail had revealed that the prisoners lodged in the jail in cases registered under serious sections run their network through mobile phones. Since two mobile phones and three SIMs were seized during the search operation on August 9, it seems that these people remain in touch with outsiders through phones. During the search operation of police and administration in District Jail and Rajgarh Sub Jail, cases have been registered in the respective police stations regarding recovery of mobiles etc. If any jail staff employee is found guilty of supplying any kind of prohibited items to the prisoners, action will be taken against him.
