Jaipur : Rajasthan’s dream project refinery will have to wait for 6 more months to start. So far, about 82 percent of the work of the refinery being built at a cost of 72937 crores has been completed. In such a situation, the target of completing the work of the refinery project in December has been increased. Now it is being claimed that the work will be completed by 31 March 2025. Rajasthan Refinery with 9 million tonnes annual capacity will be a state-of-the-art refinery of BS-6 standard. In HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) being set up in Pachpadra of Balotra district, 90 to 98 percent work of 11 out of 14 units of the complex and petrochemical complex has been completed. But only 46 to 50 percent work of their 3 units has been completed. Apart from this, the work of steam turbine and boiler in the utility and off site has also been completed only up to 35 percent.
Different companies are working
Different companies are working on the units in the refinery. The state government is also constantly monitoring the work. The companies whose work is going on slowly have been asked to speed up their work.
Industries for co-products will be set up
After the refinery cum petrochemical complex starts functioning, apart from petrochemical products like petrol and diesel, petrochemical products like polypropylene, butadiene, LLDPE, HDPE, benzene and toluene will also be produced. This will lead to the establishment of industries in the state for these products as well. With the investment, the people of the state will get employment. HRRL will also undertake education, health and road construction works in the region under CSR.
