Jaipur : The Drug Control Department in Rajasthan on Friday has banned the sale of some batches of 9 medicines of 7 companies. Of these, 4 medicines were found to be fake during investigation. Whereas samples of 5 medicines were found non-standard. The amount of salt in them was not correct. Apart from cough, cold, anti-allergy medicines and injections, these include Vitamin D-3, calcium, tablets given to mentally ill patients and blood thinning injections. Drug Controller Ajay Phatak and Rajaram Sharma issued the order and said – In November, samples of medicine were taken from different places in the market. Which were found non-standard in the investigation. It contains three batches of Supatel-Trio containing telmisartan and amlodipine salt from Systol Remedies company. Those who failed. These medicines are given to hypertension patients.
These medicines were found to be fake
Batch of Avil Injection from Sanofi India Ltd. These injections are given to mentally ill patients to make them sleep.
M/s Apple Formulations Pvt. Ltd. Tablets of Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D-3.
Supatel-Trio containing Telmisartan and Amlodipine salts from Systol Remedies Company.
M/s Pure and Cure Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Alprazolam tablets.
These medicines for cough, cold and allergy were found to be non-standard
Nimoslide Paracetamol tablets of M/s Asper Pharmaceuticals were found non-standard.
Samples of medicines of M/s Edwin Pharma LCmask-M (Levocitrazine, Montelukast) have also been found to be non-standard.
Blood thinning injections found non-standard
Apart from these, M/s Scott-Edil Pharmacia Ltd. Heparin Sodium injection for blood thinning and Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim injection for infection control of M/s Ethicare Laboratories have also been found to be non-standard.
