Jaipur : Rajasthan’s Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat had given instructions to form a departmental committee to get factual information regarding encroachment in the Ramgarh Dam area. Taking immediate action on behalf of the department, a 4-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Engineer. Suresh Singh Rawat took seriously the photos related to encroachment in the dam area in the newspapers and gave instructions for its survey. Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat said that if the report related to encroachment is found to be correct, then immediate action will be taken on it.
A committee was formed under the chairmanship of Ajay Tyagi
Additional Secretary and Chief Engineer, Water Resources Amarjeet Singh Meharda said that a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Engineer Ajay Tyagi. Superintending Engineer Suresh Kathania, Executive Engineer Neeraj Chaudhary and Anil Thalor have been included in this committee. He said that the committee will visit the filling and flow area of Ramgarh Dam and will submit a factual report after inspecting the site in relation to the received photos.
If the no objection certificate is against the rules then it will not investigate
The committee will prepare a list of No Objection Certificates issued by the Water Resources Department to the Revenue Department, Jaipur Development Authority, etc. in the last 5 years. The committee will also investigate whether the No Objection Certificates have been issued against the rules. Along with this, after investigation, it will also propose a list of officers who have issued No Objection Certificates against the rules.
The departmental committee will submit its comments
The departmental committee will also present its comments regarding the fact that departmental officials have presented a reply contrary to the facts in the above mentioned matter. Chief Engineer Amarjit Singh Meharda said that Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat had given instructions to form a joint investigation team regarding encroachments in the filling and flow area of Ramgarh Dam so that a report can be submitted by immediately visiting the spot and inspecting the Ramgarh Dam area.
Request made through letter
Amarjeet Singh Meharda informed that in this regard, the District Collector, Jaipur has been requested through a letter to constitute a joint investigation team of senior officers of various related departments like Jaipur Development Authority, representative of District Collector, Jaipur, Forest Department, Revenue Department and other committee departments, including the Superintending Engineer, Water Resources Circle, Jaipur and Executive Engineer, Water Resources Section, Jaipur.
