Jaipur : 1.07 crore families in Rajasthan will not get ration wheat from today, because all ration dealers are going on strike. This decision has been taken by the Rajasthan State Ration Vendor Struggle Committee. In such a situation, 4.46 crore people will not get free wheat.
For the past several days, ration dealers were informing the officials about their demands including giving honorarium every month, withdrawing the order of delivering ration to elderly and handicapped consumers at their homes. But their demands were not heard. General Secretary of Sangharsh Samiti Ashok said, “Our demands have been ignored by the government. Therefore, we will close the shops and go on strike from today.”
There are more than 26 thousand ration dealers in the state
Let us tell you that there are more than 26 thousand ration dealers in the state. Many of them have already handed over their POS Mission to the District Logistics Officer. The ration seller said, “For the last 5 months, the government has not given their honorarium. In such a situation, there is a demand that it should also be given as soon as possible.” Let us tell you that under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), wheat quota is currently fixed for 4.46 crore people. They get 90 paise commission on 1 kg of wheat. According to this, 5 kg of wheat is given to every person between the 3rd and 4th of every month. In such a situation, it is believed that if this strike continues for a long time, then the beneficiary families will not get the wheat available this month. Yesterday, ration dealers took out a rally in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, which went from Shaheed Memorial Park to the Collectorate Office, in which they had talked about giving 30 thousand monthly honorarium.
