Churu : The whole country is in uproar over the rape-murder case of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. This matter had not yet settled down when another shameful incident has come to light from Churu district of Rajasthan. Where a nursing officer of a government hospital has been accused of molesting a female employee. A 20-year-old Dalit girl, who was training in the emergency ward of a government hospital, tried to commit suicide by consuming poison at her home on August 17. She has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition, where she is undergoing treatment.
The accused molested her on 15 August
According to the victim, nursing officer Subhash Chandra Sihag took her to the second floor on the pretext of bringing goods from the store of the emergency ward and molested her on August 15. After this incident, the victim attempted suicide. Churu Superintendent of Police Jai Yadav said that on the complaint of the victim, a case was registered in Dudhwakhara police station on August 18. Nursing officer Subhash Chandra Sihag has been arrested on Tuesday and his interrogation is going on.
The accused officer was suspended after his arrest
State Additional Chief Secretary Shubhra Singh confirmed that the nursing officer has been suspended with immediate effect on the instructions of the Medical Minister. After getting information about this case, the police have registered a case under sections of molestation and SC-ST Act on the basis of the victim’s written statement. The case is being investigated in depth by the police and the hospital administration so that the victim can get justice and the accused can be given appropriate punishment.
A doctor was brutally raped in Kolkata on the night of 9 August
