Chittorgarh : After finding patients of Brucellosis and Leptospirosis in many districts of the state, an alert has been declared in the medical department. However, not a single patient of these diseases has been found in Chittorgarh district so far. Due to the changing weather, people are not able to get out of the grip of seasonal diseases. Now the infectious disease Brucellosis and Leptospirosis have also started spreading. Due to the rainy season, till now more patients of diseases like cold, cough, fever, vomiting-diarrhea, pneumonia were being found. But, for some time, patients of Brucellosis and Leptospirosis have also started increasing. Very few people are aware of these two diseases spreading through infection. These diseases, which have been gripping people for some time, are causing concern for the general public including the medical department. So far 329 patients of both the infectious diseases Brucellosis and Leptospirosis have been found in the state. After this, an alert has been declared in the medical department across the state. However, till now not a single patient of these two infectious diseases has been found in Chittorgarh district.
People need to be cautious in the changing weather. Not only adults but children are also getting affected by many infectious diseases. Keep your mouth covered with a mask or handkerchief at this time. Keep your house, shop, institute and the surrounding area clean. Keep your body covered with clothes as much as possible. So that flies, mosquitoes and other insects do not bite. Still, if you get affected by any disease, consult a doctor immediately and get treatment.
What are brucellosis and leptospirosis
Both are infectious diseases. They are caused by bacteria. Brucellosis is a bacterial infection. Which spreads from animals to humans. This bacteria is mainly found in cattle, bison and pigs. However, it can also affect other animals and people. In this, humans get fever, joint pain, fatigue, red rashes on the skin, micro boils on the skin, swelling in the heart, liver, spleen. Similarly, leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease. Which is caused by a bacteria called Leptospira. In this disease, symptoms like decrease in blood platelets, bruising, lung disease, decrease in the number of red blood cells and deep bone pain are seen.
