A glimpse of heritage folk songs and dance will be seen in Jaipur Lokrang Mahotsav

Jaipur : A grand Lokrang Utsav will be organized at Albert Hall on Monday at the conclusion of Jaipur Festival being celebrated by Jaipur Heritage Corporation. The program will start at 6 pm in front of Albert Hall. Heritage Corporation Mayor Kusum Yadav, while wishing all the city residents, said that traditional cultural events are being organized continuously for the last one month on the 297th anniversary of the establishment of Jaipur. More than 150 folk artists will give a spectacular presentation of Rajasthani folk songs and dances in the closing ceremony on Monday. At the same time, there will also be a grand finale of the ceremony among Rajasthani artists.

Yadav said that the main attraction of the program will be the performance of world famous Kalbelia dancer Gulabo Sapera. Apart from this, singer Thanu Kha will also perform. During this time, public representatives and prominent people of Jaipur city will also be welcomed and honoured. Mayor Yadav said that the Jaipur celebrations had started with the worship of Lord Ganesha on October 18. In one month, Shyam Bhajan Sandhya, Qawwali, Cricket Competition, Heritage Walk-Way, Antakshari, Gorbandh Programme, Rajasthani Folk Songs were organised. The main objective of all the events is to encourage Rajasthani folk artists by bringing them into the mainstream and to keep Rajasthani culture and tradition alive.
