Ambala, December 13 (IANS). Farmers, adamant on their demands, organized a press conference on Thursday regarding their future strategy. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that a group of farmers will march to Delhi on December 14.
Sarwan Singh Pandher told IANS, “Today we have written a letter to the Prime Minister on behalf of both the firms. The programs we have decided in this meeting include fast unto death at Delhi Cooch and Khanauri border. Apart from this we have put forward all our demands.
“We have also attached letters from his Agriculture Ministry in 2013-2018 and a letter from December 2021.”
He said, “We want to tell the Prime Minister himself that if there is any loss of life or property on the Khanauri border, the entire responsibility for it will be on the government. We have presented our stand in front of the entire country. We want to tell the people of the country about all our demands.
The farmer leader said, “The government is trying to impose digital emergency on us. It has been heard that the internet of two unions will be shut down at Khanauri border. Shutting down the internet means that both the governments are getting ready to attack the farmer wave. Apart from this, we have called upon the entire countrymen to fast. Tomorrow our movement completes 10 months.
Asking as many farmer laborers as possible to reach there, Pandher said, “Apart from deciding the next big strategy, a group of farmers will march to Delhi on December 14, which will be led by Jaswinder Singh Longowal. We will stand firm until our demands are met.
