Jodhpur : Passengers will get modern facilities like those available at airports at the modern roadways bus terminal in Jodhpur. For this the roadways management is making preparations. Roadways Jodhpur management will conduct commercial activities. Modern public facilities will be made available to the passengers at the bus terminal. Many commercial activities including a supermarket can be carried out on the second floor of Jodhpur roadways bus terminal. For this the roadways management has started the tender process. The received tenders will be opened on August 2. It is noteworthy that this is the only airport-style bus terminal in Rajasthan. The roadways bus terminal has been built on about 2889 square meters of land.
Passengers will get these facilities
9 booking counters, air-cooled waiting hall
Boarding on the ground floor, 21 bus alighting ways, 9 booking counters, reservation counter, air-cooled waiting hall, ATM, shops, kiosks, toilets, parcel office, dispensary, police post and 4 lifts and 5 stairs for vertical connectivity have been constructed in 4035 square meters.
20 shops, supermarkets and restaurants
For commercial activities, 20 shops, super market, restaurant, play zone will be built on 4231 square meters on the second floor of the bus terminal. Tenders have been issued for this. On the third floor, a 34 double bedroom hotel, banquet hall, restaurant, club area etc. are proposed to be built on 4272 square meters.
21 buses standing together
At present, 21 buses are being parked simultaneously on the platform of the bus terminal. Due to this, passengers are getting more buses and they do not have to wait for long for buses.
Roadways office running on the first floor
On the first floor, roadways office, male and female dormitories, refreshment room, caretaker room, toilet and drinking water facility have been built on 4231 square meters.
