Jaipur : At home, 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter were waiting for their parents to return from the wedding. But this could not happen. On the way, the couple traveling in the car became victim of a tragic accident. While trying to save the cattle that had come on the road, the trailer moving ahead went out of control and overturned on the Alto car coming behind. In the horrific accident, the car remained buried under a trailer filled with lime blocks for about an hour. The police, after a lot of effort, deployed 3 cranes and 2 JCBs and got the trailer straightened. The jeweler who was traveling in the car died on the spot in the accident. While his wife died while being taken to the hospital. The matter is near Malawas on Megastate Highway 21 Dantiwada-Merta in Pipar, Jodhpur. Where this tragic accident happened on Sunday night.
Police said that Khemraj Soni (36), son of Satyanarayan Soni, resident of Pandit Deendayal Colony of Merta city, and his wife Monica Soni (34) had come to Pipar to attend the wedding ceremony of their nephew. While returning after leaving Pipar, a bull suddenly came in front of the trailer running ahead of him near Malawas, 10 kilometers away. While trying to save it, the trailer driver cut it. Due to which the trailer went out of control and overturned and Khemraj’s car got buried under the trailer.
Carts weighing about 60 tonnes filled with lime powder were loaded in the trailer. The car was badly crushed due to being pressed under such a heavy trailer. The people present on the spot immediately informed the police and 108 ambulance. After reaching the incident site, the trailer was removed with the help of 3 cranes and 2 JCBs. After this, with great effort, Khemraj and Monica trapped inside the car were taken out. Khemram had died on the spot. The same wife Monica was breathing and died while being taken to the hospital. The bodies of the couple were kept in the hospital mortuary. Whose post mortem will take place today.
Dharmichand Soni of Soni Samaj told that on November 22, the marriage of Khemraj’s nephew took place in Pipar. After the marriage, a program of Ganesh ji’s thali was organized on Sunday. After attending this program, Khemraj was returning to Merta city with his wife Monica. While returning, his Alto car got hit by an uncontrolled trailer in Melawas area of Pipar. Khemraj used to run a jewelery shop in Nanha Bazaar of Merta city. The last rites of the couple will be performed in Merta town today afternoon.
