A retired soldier died due to drowning in water after heavy rains in Ajmer, the administration was helpless seeing the water logging

Ajmer : Retired soldier Ramesh Chandra died on Monday night at around 11 pm in Shakti Nagar Aam Ka Talab area of ​​Ajmer’s Ward-54. Locals allege that the area is filled with rainwater. The retired soldier was passing through here on a bicycle, during which he lost his balance. He fell down.

In the darkness of the night, no local people got information about the old man falling into the water. On receiving the information of the accident, Ajmer Municipal Corporation officials and local councilors along with the local police also reached the spot. Alwar Gate police station kept the body of the deceased in the mortuary of Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital. Today, after the complaint of the family, the post-mortem of the body of the deceased will be done.

Rain water is filled on the road

Local councillor Sunil Dhanka alleged that rainwater is continuously filling up in the area. The district administration was informed several times. But, no action has been taken till date, due to which an elderly person died.

The roads are filled with two and a half feet of water

The roads of Ajmer are filled with water up to two to two and a half feet. The Municipal Corporation Commissioner was also informed about this problem several times. He also did not try to find a solution. According to Alwar Gate Police Station in-charge Shyam Singh, prima facie the death of the elderly man is believed to be due to drowning in water. The real cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report of the dead body arrives.

Pump accused of running out of diesel

The local residents and the councillor allege that the Municipal Corporation had installed a pump to drain out the rainwater, which stopped working due to the diesel running out. After that, even the administration officials did not take any action. If the water had been drained out through the regular pump, then perhaps this accident would not have happened.
