Kota : During Navratri, a drunk driver rammed a speeding car into the pandal at Khedliganj intersection in Atru town, causing chaos. 12 people were injured in this accident, out of which 4 have suffered serious injuries and have been referred to Baran.
When and how did the accident happen?
The incident occurred at around 10 pm when the driver was driving at high speed under the influence of alcohol towards Hani Heda bus stand. Devotees were performing aarti of Mata’s tableau in the pandal, when suddenly the driver rammed his Swift car into the crowd. During this time, the car hit many devotees and a cow, due to which the cow died on the spot.
The mob caught the driver and beat him
At the spot, people caught hold of the driver and beat him up, while the police reached the spot, seized the car and took the driver into custody. The injured include Arvind Gurjar, Mahesh Yadav, Manoj Meena, Deepak Pareta, Prince Meena, Mayank Pareta, Bunty Pareta, Devendra, Surendra Meena and Keshav Sharma.
