A stone fell on the head of a worker in Nagaur marble mine, he died.

Nagaur : A laborer working inside died in an accident on Friday in a mine in Chak Dungri range of Makrana, Nagaur marble mining area. The worker was doing mining work, at the same time a stone fell from the top of the mine and hit the worker on his head and he died on the spot. After which fellow laborers put the body in the tank with the help of a crane and took it out. On receiving the information, Makrana police station officer Suresh Kumar reached the spot with the police force and took the body to the government hospital and kept it in the mortuary.

Police said- Mine number 35 of Chak Dungri Range is approved in the name of Jummadeen and Sons. On Friday morning, Puranaram (49), son of Bhanvararam, a resident of Bas Gunavati, a laborer in Giwaria, reached the mine dressed as usual. At around 10 in the morning Purnaram went to work inside the mine. During this time, at around 12:30 pm, some stones fell into the mine from the mine’s agwaad. One of the stones hit Purnaram directly on his head. Due to which he fell there. It was fortunate that other workers working in the mine did not suffer any injuries. Fellow workers immediately pulled him out but by then he had died. On receiving information about the worker’s death, a large number of people gathered at the spot. The deceased has three sons and two daughters and he was the only earning member of the family. Station Officer Suresh Kumar said that after receiving the report, the post-mortem of the deceased will be done and the body will be handed over to the family. Will take action based on the report.
