A suspicious woman snatched a 2 tola chain from the neck of an elderly woman boarding the Ajmer bus.

Ajmer : A chain snatcher gang broke a gold chain weighing 2 tola from the neck of an elderly woman going from Ajmer to Beawar on Thursday afternoon at the bus stop located at Hazari Bagh on Ajmer Beawar Road. The old woman who boarded the bus in the crowd caught the suspicious woman with the help of the passengers. He was handed over to Clock Tower police station. After disembarking the passengers, the police searched the bus thoroughly but no trace of the chain was found. The police registered a case of theft on the report of the victim and started investigation.

According to the police, Ashadevi Ben, a resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, had come to Ajmer for the wedding of her brother’s child. After the marriage, she was going to Beawar to meet her daughter on Thursday afternoon. His nephew had come to drop him at the bus stop located at Hazari Bagh. While boarding the roadways bus in the crowd, a chain snatcher broke a chain weighing 2 tola from the neck of Asha Ben. As soon as the chain around her neck broke, Ashadevi raised an alarm. He caught a woman who was boarding the bus and accused her of being a gang associate. As soon as the information about chain snatching was received, the police reached Clock Tower police station. The police took the suspicious woman into custody. Even after much interrogation, the woman continued to deny the incident of chain snatching.

After the incident, Clock Tower police station reached Hazari Bagh and deboarded the passengers traveling in the roadways bus. The police searched the bus thoroughly. When the police did not find anything in the search, they suspected that the gold chain had fallen in the bus, but even after the search, no trace of the stolen chain could be found.
