Jaipur : a voluntary organization in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, has started an initiative for the conservation and promotion of birds. This organization named Need is installing feeders and water containers for birds in 25 gardens of the Mansarovar area. The organization aims to plant around 125 birds by December 24 this year. This campaign started on 22nd September last month and under this, till now more than 30 birds of grain have been planted in 5 gardens. In the program organized on Gandhi Jayanti in two gardens located in Sector-73, Paramhans Marg, Jaipur. Need coordinator Ajit Tiwari gave information about the campaign. Former IAS officer Manoj Sharma was the chief guest of this program and State President of Rajasthan Samagra Seva Sangh and Sarvodayi thinker Shri Sawai Singh was its president. The people present at the program appreciated this effort and expressed their desire to actively participate in the program.

In the program, those working in the social sector including Minesh Obar, director of ‘Apni Pathshala’ on VT Road in Mansarovar area and Monu Dev of ‘Nanhe Kadam Foundation’ were honoured. Chief guest Manoj Sharma in his address praised this effort and called upon the people present for active participation in this important work. President of the function, Sawai Singh, while paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti, highlighted the relevance of Gandhi in the present circumstances.

On this occasion, senior advocate Arvind Bhardwaj, who adopted Gandhian thoughts and actions, was honoured. In this function, poets Banaj Kumar Banaj, Vinay Kumar Sharma Ankush, Narendra Sarvodayi and Banwari Lal Soni presented their compositions on birds and Mahatma Gandhi. In the program, President of Ram Gopeshwar Temple Y. Many dignitaries including D. Sharma, Ramesh Chandra Sharma of Brahmin Samaj, retired Additional Public Relations Director Arun Joshi, Jyoti Magan and Anand Vidyarthi of Morning Star Club, senior journalist Shri Hari Om Sharma were present. At the end of the program, the organization’s co-coordinator Prashant Jain expressed his gratitude to all the visitors. Writer and litterateur Naval Kishore Sharma conducted the function. On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, containers of food and water were installed by the organization in the premises of Gokul Bhai Smriti Sansthan located in Durgapura.
