Jodhpur : Airport security agencies were shocked when a pistol and magazine were found during the checking of a transgender’s luggage at the Civil Airport in Jodhpur city of Rajasthan. CISF security personnel immediately informed the airport police station. After this, the airport police reached the spot and took the transgender into custody. It is being told that during the checking of the transgender’s luggage, a licensed pistol and seven live cartridges were recovered. The license of the pistol was valid only till Uttarakhand. The license did not allow carrying the pistol anywhere else in the country. Therefore, the pistol and magazine were seized. At the same time, after registering a case under the Arms Act, the police presented her in the court, from where the transgender has got bail.
Airport Police Station Officer Hanuman Singh of Police Commissionerate East said that Reena alias Gujri disciple Usha Kinnar resident of district Haridwar, Uttarakhand was caught by the Airport Security Force CISF with a pistol and live cartridges. On interrogating the Kinnar, it was found that on July 29, she had come to Ajmer Dargah from Haridwar with her disciple Aarohi.

After staying in Ajmer for two days, she came to Pali with her disciple for personal work. On August 1, she booked an online ticket for Indigo flight from Pali and reached the airport to go from Jodhpur to Delhi. After this, when Kinnar Reena entered the airport, the security personnel scanned her bag and found a pistol and live cartridges in the bag. The CISF security force caught the Kinnar and handed her over to the airport police. Police said that the pistol and cartridges were seized as the licensed pistol was used only till Uttarakhand and did not have permission for the whole of India and she was carrying banned weapons at the civil airport. Also, a case was registered against the Kinnar and she was presented in the court, from where she got bail. At present, further investigation is being done.
