AAP leader Raghav Chadha gives adjournment notice in Rajya Sabha regarding criminal activities in Delhi

New Delhi, December 3 (IANS). Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha on Tuesday gave an adjournment notice in the Rajya Sabha demanding discussion on the increasing criminal activities in the national capital Delhi.

He says that at present criminal activities in Delhi have reached their peak. The morale of the criminals is high and the life of the common people of Delhi has become difficult.

Let us tell you that the responsibility of law and order in Delhi is in the hands of the Central Government. In such a situation, they are trying to corner the Central Government by demanding discussion on this topic.

On the other hand, the Central Government continuously claims that the law and order in Delhi is absolutely fine, but on the contrary, the Aam Aadmi Party calls these claims hollow. In such a situation, AAP leader Raghav Chadda has given an adjournment notice demanding discussion on the law and order of Delhi.

“Under Rule 267 (Notice of motion for suspension of rules) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Rajya Sabha (Rajya Sabha), I give notice of motion to move,” he said in his notice.

It is noteworthy that earlier Raghav Chadha has given an adjournment notice in Rajya Sabha demanding discussion on the attack on Hindu community by fundamentalist groups in Bangladesh.

Raghav Chadha had said in the notice of the motion, “Under Rule 267 (Notice of motion for adjournment of the Rules) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Rajya Sabha, I give notice of my intention to move the motion.”

He had said, “That this House suspend the relevant rules relating to Zero Hour and Question Hour and other business listed for the day to discuss the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and the arrest of three ISKCON priests, including Chinmoy Krishna Das. Further, I demand that this House collectively discuss and condemn the detention of ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das.”
